Welcome

My Approach

Every young person has potential, sometimes they just need the right support to see it. I’m The Youth Coach, and I help children and teens build confidence, resilience, and self-belief; skills that last a lifetime.

My coaching is grounded in empathy, compassion, and real-life experience.

Through understanding, encouragement, and practical guidance, I work with young people, parents, and schools to turn challenges into growth. I’ve seen first hand how a little support at the right time can change everything and I’m here to make sure no one has to wait to thrive.

About Me

I am, first and foremost, a parent. My journey into youth and parent coaching didn’t begin with a qualification — it began at home. As the parent of a neurodiverse child with ADHD, autism, and PDA, I’ve lived through the ups and downs of supporting a young person struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional-based school avoidance.

Those experiences shaped me, challenged me, and gave me a deep understanding of just how tough life can feel, not only for children and young people, but also for parents trying their best to support them.

Alongside my role as a parent, I am also neurodiverse myself, with ADHD and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD). RSD is an intense emotional response where even small criticisms, rejections, or perceived failures can feel overwhelming. For years, I battled with the impact this had on my confidence, self-esteem, and relationships.

A few years ago, life coaching changed everything for me. The model I was coached on helped me separate circumstances from my thoughts about them. I discovered that while I can’t control everything that happens around me, I can control how I think about those situations and it’s those thoughts that shape how I feel. That realisation was life-changing.

It made me wonder: why aren’t young people being taught these skills earlier in life? If they could learn to manage their thoughts, emotions, and confidence while still at school, how much brighter could their futures be?

The Why

I became a Youth and Parent Coach, not just because I’ve been trained, but because I have lived experience. I understand the challenges from the inside, as a child who struggled, as a parent supporting a child, and as someone who found a way forward.

I believe coaching isn’t just for adults in business or leadership roles. It also gives young people and parents the tools they need to thrive in everyday life. That’s why my work is focused on three areas:

  • Youth Coach – helping children and young people with confidence, resilience, and positive thinking.
  • Parent Coach – supporting parents to build stronger relationships with their children and feel more confident in their role.
  • School Connection – working in schools to create safe, supportive environments through assemblies, group sessions, SEND support, and initiatives like 'The Lunch Club'.
